LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS Good exercise and Great Fun

The RAFA381 Bowls section is a small, friendly mixed outdoor Bowls group.No previous experience required, but experienced players also welcomed

It was formed to play friendly matches against other clubs and amongst the members in a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy.

RAFA381 Bowls Section is also in the Brooks Motors Bowls Mixed Friendly League (BML) if you enjoy the challenge of more competitive games.

We now have a varied programme in which everyone, whether they are a beginner or an experienced player, can take part.

As we are not affiliated you are also able to play for us even if you belong to another Bowls Club.

SEASON – APRIL to OCTOBER each year

If you have not tried outdoor bowling before, then come along to our Tuesday morning friendly ‘triples’ 9.45am for a 10.00 am start, where there are always players ready to help and inspire! Teams are drawn on the day, and we play for a couple of hours and points are given for turning up and for winning!. Additional informal “Roll up” at midday on Sundays.Everyone Welcome!

There are also various Competitions throughout the season which is another opportunity to get to know the other players.

A very popular internal Team Competition is ‘Booze Busters’, a Friday Evening League game starting at 5.30pm which is played from the end of June. With 36 players we form Six Teams, each playing a Triples match each week. Each player will play on average six games during the season. The winning Team receive a bottle of wine each at the Christmas Party.
